New Crime Shakes Granville
Submitted by Granvillaz on Wed, 09/03/2008 - 14:16.GRANVILLE - Garden urns are a familiar sight to many in the close-knit community of Granville, Ohio and until recently, were fairly safe in this small bedroom town. That is, until the long-held tradition of cow-tipping began again - but with a modern twist. Thanks to recent developments in the once-country town of Granville, there are very few cows left roaming in pastures.

Summer vacation
Submitted by buknut on Wed, 08/27/2008 - 21:23.Summer vacation is a wonderful midwestern tradition. The idea of taking extended time off when business is slower and the children have nearly forgotten about the upcoming school year restores the soul.

Sidewalks/bike paths....
Submitted by ct on Thu, 08/21/2008 - 18:04.Let's get behind the idea of expanding the bike path and adding more walkways to our town. I would love to be ble to walk to and from town down Burg st. Lt's really not safe to do so during the day and out of the question after dark.
Fill out the questionnaire that is supposed to be forthcoming in the next few weeks.

The time of my life
Submitted by Paul on Sat, 08/09/2008 - 01:56.As I write I am watching what the commentator tells us is the opening of the 29th Olympiad of the "Modern Era." The "modern" era. Modern Times, as the historian Paul Johnson points out in his excellent book of the same name, have been stained repeatedly by the treacherous slope of moral relativism.

Yet Another Obama Smear E-mail
Submitted by Sarah Thornborough on Tue, 07/22/2008 - 19:30.Recently I and three hundred of my correspondent’s closest friends received an e-mail claiming that Barack Obama would be raising taxes on home sales, dividend taxes, income taxes, inheritance taxes, and would also be creating a handful of new taxes on common expenses. This same e-mail claims that Senator McCain will make no changes on the current tax rates and will add no new taxes.

The editorial The New York Times does not want you to read
Submitted by bendeli on Mon, 07/21/2008 - 17:31.The following is an editorial submitted by John McCain to The New York Times. The Times has refused to print it despite the fact they printed one for Obama last week and they requested the editorial from McCain.
Note to editor: it has been released by the McCain campaign without restriction on publication.
The editorial deemed "not fit to print" by The New York Times follows:

Homesick on the 4th of July
Submitted by downtownmb on Thu, 07/03/2008 - 18:30.According to Mapquest, I’m about 2002.4 miles from the Granville Street Fair. Unless Doc Brown shows up with his DeLorean, it looks like its going to be impossible for me to go this year, and I have to admit, it really bums me out.

Let's begin again
Submitted by Christopher_Hawkins on Tue, 07/01/2008 - 21:31.Even the best relationship sometimes hit a bump in the road. Like all married couples, my wife Donna and I occasionally get ticked at each other. Sometimes we truly disagree; other times it is a simple matter of miscommunication or an incorrect assumption. When this happens and frostiness fills the room, one of us will stop and simply say to the other…
“Let’s begin again.”

The 11 Commandments of Granville:
Submitted by Silence B Good on Sun, 06/29/2008 - 03:14.1. Granville is special and it is something worth fighting for.
2. I live/moved here because it is unique; therefore I do not support anything that may make it common and/or plain. Doing so only destroys what I have come to love.
3. Granville is a destination; therefore, I do not encourage any business, venture, or zoning code that could rob me of that.

We have lost one of the greats...
Submitted by ot on Fri, 06/13/2008 - 16:28.Tim Russert died earlier this afternoon.
It is a great loss to our country and our world. This was a man who came to his job fully prepared. The depth of his research in preparation for Meet the Press was obvious to most who watched the show. And, it was, I suspect, quite unnerving for a number of his guests.
